Well, we would be talking here about factors that would favor the global adoption of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. It is obvious that there are currently certain limitations in this regard, but we should not think that it will always be this way. In fact, there are projects (even cryptographic ones) that are already working on providing global satellite internet even for the most remote regions. This will allow limitations and restrictions of all kinds to be overcome and will favor the global adoption of cryptocurrencies. Especially in underdeveloped countries, where it is very hard for people to get banked (for one reason or another). Even in a case as the one you propose, this will be possible. Also, as you said, there are too many projects with their advantages and disadvantages. But in terms of speed of the internal network at the blockchain level we have cryptos like HIVE, TRX (although I am not a fan of TRX) and many others. And of course, there are also Bitcoin's second layer solutions. It's all a matter of not closing ourselves in perspective, but of always maintaining the vision of what cryptocurrencies are and their potential and benefits (both current and future).
