RE: Introducing xPOLYCUB Governance | First Vote: Reduce the Locked Claim "Power Down" Window

in LeoFinance3 years ago (edited)

This is a great initiative and I'm sure it will help Leofinance.io to professionalise its operations!

I have a few questions/thoughts related to the validity of the vote:

  1. Is there a minimum total voting amount (in xPoly) to make it a valid vote? (imagine only 1 person with 0.01 xPoly would vote, would this vote be considered valid)
  2. Related to 1), in case people don't have a preference but to ensure we reach a minimum amount of xPoly to make it valid, should there be an abstain option so that we at least reach this minimum amount of xPoly value?
  3. What should the minimum percentage of the highest vote option be? (E.g. could it be 33.4% or would a minimum of 40% be required to have a valid vote)
    4) Currently the poll is slightly biased as the cheapest option is 15 days. I know the vote value is really low for each option but having almost the same vote value would make it more unbiased.

That's another revenue for POLYCUB buy-back. I guess.

Exactly. Most o the community is not going to spend that extra 1/8th of a cent to vote for the longer window.

Shows you how the election is biased.

I am taking this to the FEC.

lol, I knew you would pick on the last comment.
More in general, polls need to be unbiased but I agree that my comment is a bit over the top... 😉

If you think this is bad, you should see Khal run a Poker game.

Hold onto your wallet on that one.
