Rex would never be anyone’s puppet. It looks like they are going to settle for a dude that’s never been a head coach and was on the staff as an OC and wasn’t even calling plays because McCarthey was doing that. If the Saints don’t hire McCarthey they should really try bringing him back if that is even possible at this point. Not a fan but at least the man did win 12 games three seasons in a row for the ‘Boys and has a ring as a HC.
