A town hall of the hive community was held due to the discussion in the last community, or should I say suggestion that the reward pool should be discussed and it was, my post is going to embed mostly what was said, it's more of a recap of all that was discussed.
The topic or areas of discussions are:
- The Reward Pool
- Down vote
- Witness activity
The town hall talked about if the reward pool which is used to encourage authors should be remove as a result of unauthentic post, and AI generated post, Rondon said that the system should not be remove but the system of distribution should be change that, you don't burn a house cause it infested with termites, you take care of the termites, he suggested that rewards should be based on how much you've staked on the block chain and not just posting and getting rewarded, as these users who use AI generated post do, and also said that AI generated posts can be defected and also there are witness and curators who check or should I saw hive watchers they checks the integrity of the block chain so me personally am against removing the reward pool.
Personal I think reward pool is what grows interaction and social activities on the chain so removing it might really damage the system.
Eric talked about the reward not just being for users that create content and interact, but for those that takes and market hive outside the block chain, I support this as this is what zealy is doing.
Wrestling Organization Online Said that if we keep talking about what we can talk about what we can't talk about it kind of kills the main purpose of hive as he initially see hive as a place where there's freedom of speech and when this is done it kind of kills the purpose, about AI he said that their company used AI and got over 99,000 impression, he said AI is a tool and it should not be ruled out that it can be utilized, he uses it to format his content to tweets and post on tweeter and they've seen good result.

Said that AI should be used to better pur post and not to pill us post just for rewards as this is the wrong use of AI.
Khal said that hjve post should be evaluated to know how much it can generate which is done by advertising and monetization he said if you don't monetize things you're never going to build a sustainable economy, it only build one that lasts for a time and them eventually when it becomes too inefficient to exist anymore it'll be gone.
Randon contributed that if a content has value it's value should be returned, he also said that having ads run in the block chain in general will be too much to keep track of for now that it should be broken into small units like the community so they can keep track of it and the eyes it brings to the hive block chain.
3speaktv said statically driven content should be rewarded so users with good stats get more of the inflation and have more control over the votes.
As for the down votes not a fan, I think that it should be removed as people who may have bad motives may just see a post and down vote it, there are already hive watchers and also people really don't down vote post on hive so I don't really see the reason why it should be there.
