Phew 🥹, this is the 8th day into the new year and it feels like I am still about to cross over into the new year(2024), I guess this is me finally witnessing what my friends has been saying about the slowness of the month of January all this while, and the craziest fact is that I have never seen January as a slow month, not until this year, it feels like I have been relieving one particular day for almost eight days ahahaha, I just can’t wait to welcome the second month of the new year. Wait!!!, now I am beginning to reconsider this wish of mine, and this is because a new month welcomed is a step closer to my date of external examination, and I am not sure if I am totally ready for it yet, I will surely be prepared with time but not now, I just need to read and study well, then everything is going to work out fine at the end, fingers crossed…
Well, that is that about that, it’s the first day of the week; logically speaking and I am feeling quite tired and dull for some reasons, I woke up feeling happy though but the offline work I have to do and deliver today is just not worth the whole stress, I have about 20$ worth of delivery in my possession, and the bitter truth is that I have to deliver all of them today because I will be busy starting from tomorrow…
I have to visit the bookstore today to get some past questions for my examination, I will also be needing a hard cover notebooks and some stationaries, after this I have to start attending classes from tomorrow, this alone has made my whole day boring ahah, but it is what it is…
So for this morning I decided to write something simple before heading out for work, I have been up for some hours now and nothing seems to be coming through, I waited for a while to see if something would come up and nothing was coming, this was when i decided to pick up my phone to go through all the posts I made since the year 2022, I meant since the first day I started my hive journey…
I have been on my phone for about two hours now combing through my hive account (my posts, earnings, comments, and engagements), I am not just scrolling through my posts, I am proof reading some of them one after the other, I skipped some though because I don’t have all day and I have over 650 posts made in over 21 months…
Combing through my hive account from the beginning has made me quite happy and emotional, I just combed through my introduction post and seeing how little I started back then made me quite emotional, and seeing how much I have grown the last couple of months has made me both happy and emotional, even with the fact Thayer my introduction post earned almost nothing, I am still feeling thankful for the fast growth of my career…
Moving on, I decided to go check my power up posts and some of my hive goals post, it feels good to see how determined and consistent I was with my hive goals, I worked with a calculator to calculate my progress, and this was because I couldn’t believe what I was seeing, but guess what I was happy tracking my progress…
I saw how consistent I was in terms of my monthly powering up, I read a couple of my posts made about a year ago and I was able to trace some errors in it, i also realized how much my writing skills improved as a result of my consistency on the blockchain, it didn’t just stop there, I saw the impact of quality content and engagement, this made me smile more because it was when I understood this logic I started growing on the platform, my earnings also started growing more…
It was a rollercoaster of emotions, I was just laughing and smiling to myself, no one understood what was going through my mind this morning, I was just feeling so grateful and thankful for this massive improvement and growth…
The happiness increased when I got to my earnings after a couple of months on the hive blockchain, I started seeing 5$,7$,10$, down to 20$, it was just massive, It was a big boost for me, back then I was an all time hive learners and neoxian city poster, these were the two communities I used most then and now…
In summary, it was just too good to be true, I was happy going through my early days on the blockchain, the comments and feedbacks I got on my post after joining the hive learners community was just so massive and encouraging, the people over there made my hive experience more exciting than ever before…
In conclusion, it was a nice time travel to the past, I had lots of fun, I saw how much I bagged my hive goals a couple of times, the consistency and determination was just so massive, and i think I did well if I were to judge myself overall, it was an incredible experience, and I think you should all try it out to confirm my experience…
