Have you seen this comment by the CEO of Binance, CZ, who is talking about paying to comment? Yep, you heard it right, seems like I can’t recognize CZ anymore. This is someone that I thought supported Web 3.0 and free speech to the core, I am having a double rethink. Binance invested $500 Million in Elon Musk’s Twitter acquisition, this means that he has a say and stake in the company, but this was done with obvious personal reasons and ways to integrate Binance into twitter. If you recall, Binance talked about using blockchain to fight bots.
Twitter
Twitter bots on Twitter is a big issue, no doubt because it’s causing a lot of inorganic engagements, most times these bots end up scamming people, but CZ’s solution to that is by paying to comment, in a way this will stop the bots from commenting because, just like Hive, we need resource credit to make comments and post and to get this resource credit you need to buy Hive and power it up. So you see, there is no CEO that takes a cut from your Hive power. But CZ is has a cut from every every payment made to comment. This is Web 2.0 social media at its peak, he claimed that he will donate his proceeds from the pay to comment, but do you see the problem there.
It’s like Elon Musk and CZ are taking us behind, this is not even just Web 2.0 anymore or should I classify it as Web 1.0 because, how do you pay for free speech today. Just yesterday we were complaining about paying $8 for Twitter blue verification tick badge, wait till Elon Musk makes the announcement on Twitter and through his tweet, I am not sure a lot of people know about it or took the CZ tweet seriously.
Right now all these seems like a road leading to Hive, because the more you try to dwell on the idea, the more you see how much people need Hive. Hive pays you to comment, but Twitter is about to make you pay to comment. It saddens me that Hive doesn’t have enough PR to bring more exposure to it, do you know how glad the world will be when they discover Hive, they will be so glad and mad that they didn’t discover it much more sooner.

I'd be surprised if twitter is still operational in one year from now. this shit is going down the dumpster very fast
sadly, i think the same. I wonder what Jack Dorsey and other twitter co founders will feel watching what they built get ruined.
