RE: Leo Delegation Contest: Win 50 Leo Delegation

in LeoFinance4 years ago

I've started writing in 1995 and hadn't stopped except for the periods when I needed to travel or enjoy 1-2 months of health recovery in peace and treatment.

This answer goes to all of you who need it and with an appreciation for @rod23 for launching this topic for us.

Here is what I know:

It is absolutely natural for a person to encounter a deadlock in his career, especially when it comes to bloggers. Such a blockage makes it difficult to meet deadlines and also affects performance. The ability to manage a writing block is essential for any writer, whether we are talking about novelists, bloggers, or copywriters.
There are several strategies you can use to avoid such blockages and to overcome them if you feel you are stuck in a blockage. Here are my tips, according to methods I practice individually.

Take a break. When you're working on content for a long time, it's normal to feel stuck and can't find your words. A break will help clear your mind. Maybe you would like a long walk or maybe you want to detach yourself from writing by dealing with some relaxing or practical tasks. In other words, at least for an hour, you don't think about writing. When you return to writing, you will surely feel refreshed and inspired. Try to de-focus from any frustrating feeling during this time.

Write with passion. You are a whole universe of experiences and ideas! Certainly, if you let yourself dream and let your ideas fly, you will write an extraordinary text. In Disney's strategy for creativity, the Dreamer is the one who brings the ideas to the forefront. It's OK to become a Realist and arrange those ideas. But, in the end, it all comes by to what genuinely you want to offer to your readers. Don't just write about specific topics because others are getting voted and they have engagement mentioning them. Just find your place in Hive and even in Leo and I am sure every idea that you might have has a good place here and it will find its audience. Make it meaningful for you and for others!

Don't edit so often. Very often, writers' block their own creativity because they have a habit of editing while writing. Editing is very important, but if you stop writing to edit each line or each sentence, you will put your own sticks in the wheels. When writing, write down anything that comes to mind, all your thoughts, expressions, and words, and only edit when you think you're done writing, at least for that day. Some use to call this "stream of consciousness". I call it a natural, aligned writers' flaw. It that moment when you allow ideas to fly freely in raw content, a draft that you can edit after you would have finished.

Make some changes to your work environment. It is very possible that the environment in which you write is the cause of distraction, anxiety, lack of inspiration, and blockage. By making some small changes, you have a very good chance of regaining your creativity. Also, set aside all sources of distraction, including your phone and TV. If you have too many items on your desk, make more room. If there are clothes on the chair, store them in the closet. Sometimes minimalism can work wonders. Natural light is also very helpful, as is a fragrance diffuser. Try to figure out what those small changes might be.

Maybe it would help you create a commitment to yourself that you will write a certain number of words each day. It can be a whole page, 500 words or any other number of words. The important thing is to write, not to create the perfect prose. The act of writing can be awkward for beginning writers, but as you write, you may find that you are eager to continue. Simply engaging in an activity can help you overcome any resistance, especially when you don't set your expectations.

With friendship and respect for all of you,
@regenerette
