Of course if you are up to the challenge; you could also flip one of these amazing gold foil AKANE cards by opening a Rebellion Booster Pack. The chances of doing so are not in your favor but someone has to do it and why not that somebody be you. Rebellion Booster Packs have a base price of 5000 DEC or 5000 Credits (Get up to a 20% discount when using VOUCHER(s): Purchasable on TribalDex, Hive-Engine and other Hive Dex's). AKANE comes with two new abilities never before seen on the Splinterlands battlefield. Those two abilities are (1) LookOut and (2) Ambush. This Legendary card (AKANE) has a MANA cost of Five regardless of its foil version. Today's Date: 12/14/2023.
What Is MANA?
Good question: MANA is used to determine the amount of UNITS a player can take into battle with them. Each battle has a set amount of MANA as do each UNIT and Summoner. The total amount of MANA your Summoner and UNITS add up to in any specific battle can never exceed the battles total MANA cost. For example if you are about to enter a battle that displays a 20 MAX MANA threshold and you want to use a Five Mana Summoner; that will leave you with 15 MANA for your UNITS to fill.
(1) Look Out:
The unit with this ability results in adjacent allies taking one less damage from attackers with sneak, snipe and opportunity. Give your team a heads up when stalkers approach from the shadows, its always a good idea to have a lookout!
(2) Ambush:
Units with this ability start combat before the first round of the battle even starts! During this bonus "Round Zero", only Ambush characters may perform any actions. The best surprise is the one where your enemy does nothing but gawk in stunned silence!
AKANE LORE:
The shiminach are the Gloridax Empire’s land-owning elite, and the archsorceress Ishii Akane is one of the caste’s most powerful and influential drakoshans. While her royal bloodline certainly played a part (she is the granddaughter of the Suam Emperor), her rise in station was largely due to her intelligence, ambition, and formidable command of the elemental magic of dragons.
Her holdings comprised nearly fifty-thousand hectares of land south of Icewall Bay, including Solace and its outlying settlements. But when the port city fell to the Chaos Empire, Ishii was given a choice: abdicate her position and swear fealty to Silus of the Rift or face execution.
Now, the once distinguished shiminach is just another conscript in the legions of the Tovingor Kalamenty. She stands sentry upon the walls of Solace, patrols the streets, and enforces the edicts of the empire.
Their leadership thinks they’ve broken her. That she serves as a reminder that not even the mightiest dare defy them. But all the while, Ishii reinforces in her citizens (in her heart, they are still hers) their heritage, their duty and honor, their purpose and shared identity… and that, because of these things—because of them—the Gloridax Empire will one day rise from the ashes and be restored to its former glory.
With each intimation, with each innocuous tradition revived, her citizens’ defiance of the Chaos Empire grows.

What Is Splinterlands?
I sometimes forget someone new might be stumbling upon my created content not knowing what the heck I'm talking about. Rebellion? Splinterlands? What are these things? The Answer: Splinterlands is a play2earn game that is hosted on the Hive Blockchain. Rebellion is one of the sets of NFT's (Cards) that are playable within the Splinterlands game. These NFT's (and others) can be used to win assets that hold real monetary value. Splinterlands has its own on-site trading platform (trading and gaming all possible from the same site). There are also many secondary markets in which you can trade your Splinterlands assets on including but not limited to Hive Dex's such as TribalDex and Hive-Engine. Get started on your Splinterlands journey today, Click Anywhere On This Highlighted Link To Do So.
What Are Rebellion Packs?
Rebellion packs are Splinterland assets that hold five cards (NFT's) that are playable in-game. Out of these five NFT's one is guaranteed to be a rare or better. These and other NFT's are tradable within the official Splinterlands site and on many secondary markets. Cards can be used to win rewards in tournaments and ranked play or staked on land to earn SPS and Grain. There's also a rental market where cards can be listed for rent.

Nothing as exciting as flipping a gold card 🙂
After the season ends, I will open up a few more Rebellion packs. Hopefully I can catch Akane from my packs, such a wonderful card she is.
I wish I had one of those!
I think Akane is the new best Dragon summoner in Modern.
Akane seem to be a good card
Shows that rebellion came with so much fun
I love that!
Now we will see the price of NFTs going up very much in the near future.
