To say excitement and moral are riding high waves in the Splinterlands community would be an understatement. Just hours ago the long awaited LAND expansion has been implemented with players plodding away at earning grains and other land related assets. On top of that REBELLION General Sale starts in less than a week. In fact Rebellion General Sale starts in just six days from this post creation. Which means there is plenty of time to get your ducks in a row as to be one of the first to participate. On the flip side of that, it won't take long for six days to pass so if you want to be one of the first to be flipping Rebellion Packs and want to be one of the first to call upon Rebellion Monsters you need to get ready to do just that. I'm sure there are many posts here on the HIVE Blockchain going over the purchase details of the Rebellion set so we won't be doing that in this post. Instead lets dissect the Rebellion Shop page and display it here on the Hive Blockchain.
After login to the official Splinterlands site you will proceed to go to Shop>Packs. It is here you will be met with a page as shown in the above screenshot. There will be a timer displayed just under a Rebellion logo. This timer represents the time that remains before Rebellion General Sale is active. The timer format is as follows 00:00:00:00 = (Days):(Hours):(Minutes):(Seconds).
Just below the Rebellion Logo and Countdown Timer we will see some text. In this same section the number of Rebellion Packs one already owns will also be displayed. Currently the only purchased packs are the ones that were attained from the Rebellion Pack presale. The text mentioned above is quoted below.
Text Quote:
It has been years since the invasion of Chaos and the rise of an Empire. The cries of anguish have been replaced with the silence of oppression. And yet...there are whispers of rebellion. The Defiant are gathering in the secret places and a single word is fervently uttered in the dark alleys, rural homesteads, taverns, caves, and towns across Praetoria.
Next we see the Pre-Sale LeaderBoard + text stating how to compete for standings in said leaderboard. The text stats," Purchasing packs puts you on the Pre-Sale leaderboard, where you can compete for prestigious Titles, and the chance to design a Legendary Summoner! Rewards are based on your Leaderboard rank and total Rebellion pack purchases." Important: Presale has ended and so has the race for the prizes in the Leaderboard. Ones leaderboard rank is displayed in this section. Also displayed is imagery of exclusive titles + text that explains what the top six purchasers of presale packs earn (Text can be read below). A screenshot displaying the top six purchasers from pre-sale will be left near the bottom of this post.
Help Design A Legend
(Presale LeaderBoard Rewards)
The top 6 players on the Pre-Sale Leaderboard will earn the prestigious honor of helping to design one of the Legendary Summoners in Rebellion. Go down in Splinterlands history as one of the key contributors to some of the most valuable and defining cards in the game! Winners will be able to collaborate with Splinterlands team members as they participate in the design process that brings these characters to life!
As we continue to scroll down the Rebellion General Sale page we will see the New Tactics image. The image displays three new Tactics named Dual Element, Ability Choice and Target Options. Details about each element quoted directly below.
Dual Element
Dual Element Summoners give you access to twice the cards when creating a team. Prepare for mind-bending strategies as you biend two different Elements together!
Ability Choice
Once both teams are revealed on the battlefield, you can determine which Summoner ability to apply. Will you bluff your team or debuff the enemy?
Target Options
Buff your tank or your sneak unit in the rear? Or would it be better to buff your entire team? The choice is yours--- but hurry! The clock is ticking!
In Rebellion, we're introducing four game-changing abilities. You'll experience new dimensions of strategy that will catapult your gameplay to a whole new level. Whether you're building a defense capable of standing against the worst your opponent has to offer or you're heaping on the damage to bring them to their knees, these abilities will reduce what happens when you step into the arena. Get ready for the most epic battles yet!
Just below the new tactics section we will see that New Abilities will also be added with the introduction of Rebellion. Those abilities include: Armored Strike, Corrosive Ward, Flank and Look Out. If we hover our cursor over each displayed ability image a description of each new ability will appear. Such text and the ability the text is describing is highlighted directly below.
Armored Strike
Any unit with this ability gains an extra melee attack using its armor stat. This allows characters to improvise with deadly force using its gauntlets, shields, helmets or perhaps physical attributes (Spikes, Hardshells, ect.) as weapons!
Corrosive Ward
When hit with melee attack a unit with this ability does 2 damage to the attackers armor and reduces the attackers armor by 2. This is the nemesis of the repair ability. You can't repair something that 's been melted into acidic goo!
Flank
If the unit with this ability is in the first position then the unit in the second position gains the reach ability. Prepare to leverage positioning and the element of surprise. Now your first two units can work together to bring down the enemy tank!
Look Out
The unit with this ability results in adjacent allies taking one less damage from attackers with sneak, snipe and opportunity. Give your team a heads up when stalkers approach from the shadows, its always a good idea to have a lookout!
Next We See
Enter The War
The war for freedom will spread across Praetoria! Soon after the official release of Rebellion, monthly War Efforts will allow Battle Mages to contribute to the cause! Use Rebellion cards to support troops in the field. In doing so, win rewards which are exclusive to that monthly War Effort!
BIG BATTLES, BIG REWARDS
Rebellion will introduce the ability for Battle Mages to take part in the war!The Riftwatchers have worked with the League of Verico to outfit mobile wagons with the same summoning stations used in worksites throughout Praetoria. These Mage Wagons will allow Battle Mages to deploy summoned manifestations to support the war effort. By slotting cards to a wagon, the Battle Mage is essentially managing a team of “troops”.Every month following the launch of the Rebellion general sale will highlight a new battle location. The higher your contribution to that battle, the more chances you have at the Airdrop card for that month. Rarity, Levels, and Foil types all factor into your daily contribution levels. ONLY Rebellion cards can be used in the War.At the end of the monthly battle, collect your airdrop cards, then redeploy your troops to the next battle! The Age of the War Mage has begun.
Concluding Image And Monolog
THE REBELLION
The Chaos Empire holds the Splinterlands in its tyrannical fist. Yet all is not lost. From Wilhemdale in the west to Miterstedt in the east, there are those with the courage and determination to take a stand and reclaim what is theirs. So far, you’ve fought your battles in the arena. From the stands, the locals watch on, subdued and slump-shouldered. Meanwhile, the legionnaires of the Empire jeer and shout insults your way. Sometimes, they take a cut of your rewards. A tax, they tell you with a boorish laugh. But you’ve heard the rumors. They say that, in New Dawn, the Knights of the Silver Shield are mounting an insurgency. In the north, the city of Solace is in revolt. And in Mox City, the Empire is executing anyone who even casts a defiant look in their direction. So what of you, battle mage? Will you stand against the Empire in defense of your home? Will you sacrifice your freedom to join with the legions of Chaos and unleash tyranny against your neighbors? Or will you keep your head down and fight your battles in the arena, hoping the Empire doesn’t one day take from you everything? The choice is yours.

What Is Splinterlands?
I sometimes forget someone new might be stumbling upon my created content not knowing what the heck I'm talking about. Rebellion? Splinterlands? What are these things? The Answer: Splinterlands is a play2earn game that is hosted on the Hive Blockchain. Rebellion is one of the sets of NFT's (Cards) that are playable within the Splinterlands game. These NFT's (and others) can be used to win assets that hold real monetary value. Splinterlands has its own on-site trading platform (trading and gaming all possible from the same site). There are also many secondary markets in which you can trade your Splinterlands assets on including but not limited to Hive Dex's such as TribalDex and Hive-Engine. Weird how sometimes the Shop page shows 4 new abilities and sometimes shows 5 new abilities.
When I made a post yesterday, this is how my Shop page looked liked on the abilities
I wonder if we are accessing the Splinterlands site or possibly that specific page of the Splinterlands site from different URL's where one URL has four new abilities shown/ the other five. In either case, that is an interesting observation. I did take pause at that section thinking there should be another ability listed here but continued on with my post. Listing the things shown on the page, as shown to me, at that specific time. Thanks for sharing the screenshot. I'll be over to read your post momentarily.

I've got a few rebellion packs. I decided today to stop upgrading my deck until we see the rebellion cards. I've dropped alot on deck upgrades recently with the low prices. Land was kind of ho hum after all the build up. I have 6 plots. Bought crystals to speed worksite construction just for the heck of it. I have a couple producing and the rest building worksites.
Nowadays we are seeing many updates coming for this game as soon as the land play will come so we will see people's interest will increase a lot.
