Never apologize for being offline and having a life, lol. Yeah, ping notifications would be a good option on Hive for sure. I would turn them off, but yeah, for users that like to be notified, that would be a great option.

I usually open social media only when notifications pop up. YouTube shorts is the only one I open myself especially when I'm eating.
I just hate notifications other than text messages, phone calls from contacts only, and trading alerts, lol. I'll do the occasional calendar notification because I am ADHD as shit, lol
I get it, it can be annoying sometimes. But I'm mostly either building my shops or doing some work at home so the only way to get my attention is a ping.

I am mostly doing other things as well, that's why I don't need the distractions, lol. I'll check stuff when I check it. Other than texts from my family, nothing online is really that important.

You may get notifications on the Ecency app, but it's not the same thing as InLeo as far as the threads situation. They have their own thing called Waves, but not near as active. But as far as long form posts and wallet, they have all that.

That's the problem with Threads is you can see them on other platforms, but you can't respond to them, I mean you can, but they won't publish to InLeo... It's a weird front end war thing going on... Basically Inleo started the microblogging part of things and other front ends ran by the old Hive whales tried to copy...
