Facebook is losing its "touch", people are realizing how unproductive and "controlling" it really is, same goes for any other sorts of social media, excluding some parts of Twitter I guess.
Yes, there are some productive aspects, but those categories aren't favored by the algorithm. The algorithm just wants us to browse its recommended section, view their ads and stay as active as possible. Keeping us hooked, addicted and coming back for more, monitoring and tracking our activities, without most of us even realizing it a single bit.
Yet, the good news is that WEB2 is slowly losing all the activity it once held, the value of some of these platforms are drastically declining, and to me that only seems like an opportunity for WEB3.
Only we know how important WEB3 is for us and the future, a "transparent", yet a secure future, one that we control and maintain power over. Yes, Decentralization has its perks, the pros its cons, right now we're seeing a big effect of exactly that, but it's still way better than the current scenario of WEB2.
Might sound harsh, but I want WEB2 and its ways of running things, its ideas to die ASAP. WEB2 is already in a very toxic condition, so I'd rather see it burn now and be buried deep down into the ground.
I totally agree. I Am already seeing many of my friend circle are slowly getting it. FB is one of those addiction which is very difficult to get rid of at some point. About Twitter, I have somehow been positive and still now I am able to get some very legit news which is unavailable elsewhere. And talking about censorship I hate Twitter :) Apart from that Twitter is OK for now.
Falling for this trap is kinda easy lol. I am now laughing hard at myself. But I guess I was just watching movies and small clips of movies all these time. By the way I watched lots of movie clips from facebook. Which I am planning to watch in the next few days. And now I also can write reviews about them in HIVE. So I guess it was not 100% useless lol
I was talking with a friend of mine and he probably got some idea about transparency and all these stuff. I was shocked to hear that coming from him. And I just smiled while he was talking all these. I was like good people are slowly getting educated and it is a good thing!

I've been there too bhai, once in a while doesn't hurt much I guess. Even though I'm not much of a "movie" guy; I'm very picky when it comes to movies and shows, so I'm somewhat immune to those short clips.
Yes they are, and this is just the start, hopefully we're all headed towards the right direction.
