Its name comes from a town in the Venezuelan Guayana where it was made at first. Have you heard about the Guiana Shield (macizo guayanés) in geography? There are several types of this kind of cheese. Telita cheese, De Mano cheese :)
Okay. I have to google. I did not know anything about these. I was surprised coz I know there is a country called Guyana.
