But the league will always do whats best for US/Australian football, not your own.

I agree. look at alphonso davies. he is now playing Europe. He was with Vancouver in MLS. Our MNT is also doing good though. Football is gaining prominence but it will need time.

It sounds similar to New Zealand and Australia.

NZ has the 1 team in the fully professional Australian A-League (the Wellington Phoenix).

But their own NZ domestic league is only semi-pro.

We have three MLS clubs in Canada. Vancouver Whitecaps, TFC and Montreal Canadiens. Our CPL clubs are semi-pro as you noted.
