I am writing my first #threadstorm on @leofinance. A couple of days ago I shared screenshots from @ecency app where I managed to tank the point system the platform offers to its users. This is a #threadstorm to explain the point system 1.0

Nice work 😎.

Their points system has been a huge success.

Interesting that they chose that model and not the tokenisation model like the other community tribes.

Yes. They have a good app and a nice user following. I like the app. They have the best notification system on #hive.

PS. When building threadstorms, make sure you always reply to your first thread.

It gets a bit confusing when I have to click 1.2 to see 1.3 instead of them all being listed on the 1 page.

it is not easy to write a #threadstorm using current @leofinance UI :( I had to wait for 30 seconds to display the #thread. But, that's a good idea. I followed how I would do it on #twitter but it is a bit different here

Yeah, it's a bit confusing because like you said, Twitter allows you to reply to the last tweet.

But here you need to always reply to the first Thread, or it messes up the display.

Let’s see how the new UI treats #threadstorm

We're slowly getting there :)

I would do a threadstorm all from the first threads. That way they show up all under that when it is opened.

Also label each one 2, 3, 4, etc...

The current UI does not allow to display like that. We can try

#threadstorm 1.1Ecency points is a gamification system to incentivize users to engage more using the tools @ecency developed such as #ecency web app and mobile application. The points can be used for in-app services, like Promote, Boost, Gifting

their app is easy to use

I use the app all the time. They have developed a really easy app to navigate #hive

#threadstorm 1.2image.pngThe estimated value of #ecency points is based on purchase value of points. Right now, I have 3098 points worth $6.19 in the market.

Users can earn points by posting, commenting, upvoting, logging into the app, referring and few other activities. The points you earn for commenting and posting will decrease if you continue to post and comment #threadstorm 1.3

If users comment frequently the value goes down. For instance the first comment will award 5 points n the multiple comments will receive fewer points. Not sure about the mechanics- I managed to receive 0.005 points once #threadstorm 1.4

#threadstorm 1.5You can also purchase @ecency points through the mobile app or scanning a QR code on the web app. I think it is a well executed process to value #engagement. There are aspects of this system #threads can learn from

Ecency is my one of my favourite platforms for posting due to the ecency points, I've almost saved up 11,000! I don't have a lot of posts I can use points on (as a lot are "low effort") but one day I'll venture out of gaming and use them up

The point system is one of the best features of Ecency in my opinion.
