I finally did it.
Though I guess we are all against working at some level, I have been struggling to not only find a job, but find a job where I would feel like I was doing enough good that the frustration of having to work 40 hours would not be so overwhelming.
After months of rejection letters, I was finally able to get a position working at a branch of Children's Hospital as a financial analyst! Basically I'll be helping to coordinate budgets for medical studies that will hopefully help save many lives one day and keep families whole. I don't think that the guy working the excel spreadsheet will ever get the credit for a drug saving a life, but I know that it is an essential piece of the puzzle nonetheless.
I have been struggling a lot with seeking out a meaning and a way to fill my time productively, but I have not given up on that yet. Now, I have some direction that I can mold into something meaningful and still be able to work on projects that excite me with all the free time I will have not working.
It is ironic that I don't enjoy working because I am so bored not working. There is definitely a happy medium somewhere there, but I guess I'll just work with what I've got.
This will be my first real job working full time and the first time I have been able to find something other than gig work and odd jobs since college ended. I hope that it will be a nice experience, and I wanted to share this with you all. A huge positive of this will be the fact that with a steady income stream, I will be able to hone my dollar cost averaging and get involved in some more coins than I have been thus far. Hopefully 2022 is the year that crypto goes parabolic and I hope that I can be a part of that as well.

Thank you!
Congratulations on your job. Was this the type of job you were looking for or is it just a secondary option that succeeded?

I didn't have a clear goal in my search, I wanted to find a job that was non-corporate where I could make some meaning out of my time. Though numbers aren't the most fun to work with for me, the idea of helping out an important team in saving lives is a cool concept.
Congratulations on your new job.
Thank you so much!
