Agreed..
EOS is a bag of shite.

Glad I’m not the only one who sees it. Lol.

Ha! I feel your pain completely. I took the other route and just didn't tackle it. Left it all sitting in the wallet. Maybe it'll moon miraculously and then I'll consider it :-(

Or end up watching everything else moon and then kick yourself in the ass for not acting sooner... 🤷‍♂️😹

The problem is there was never a part of the EOS community that was there to make things work well.
Innovation is great and all, but you have to have some people that will rake through the muck and shine that diamond.

EOS will be quite successful in the future, but not as anything that it was sold as.
I believe EOS and DASH will merge. Giving both chains the things each-other need for a better block-chain-smart contract-currency experience

Yeah I read up on it, quite a bit when it launched. When I couldn't follow along any more I figured 99% of people would be the same. Hard to get mainstream adoption with 1% of the population.

Annnnd... you were right.

You can also delegate resources to another account. If you already had them stake in the one account you could have just done a delegation to get the stuff out of the other account. Given who it was created by there are a lot of mechanics that are similar to what we have here on Hive. I don't hold a ton of Hive, but I do some side work for one of the block producers. It has definitely not lived up to the expectations or hype at this point. I am holding out hope that it will get better and recover. I bought a lot of my stake at $8, so I really have no choice at this point. I think the software itself is pretty sound as some of the sister chains have proven like WAX and TELOS. Who knows, maybe one day it will be better. I don't fault you for making the choice to cut ties.

Correction: you dohave a choice.

I get it’s tough to make the call to cut losses in such cases.

Though it’s quite like that while you’re waiting to just break even, by the time Steem would reach $8 again just so you break even -if that even happens - other projects like XRP and ALGO would have been earning you handsome profits had you known when to cut the losses and reallocate.

(Depending on how you manage your taxes, you could also potentially write off the loss to offset against income to reduce your bill).

Of course, to each their own. Though just saying... objectively, while I see where you’re coming from, it’s not a strong investment strategy when really assessing the fundamentals.

Re: delegation...

You realize how much of a complicated fucking headache such a scenario is for the sheer basic task of sending a few dollars?

Inexcusable. There are far too many other blockchains that make it as simple as sending an email by inputting address, amount, and send button. The rest is intellectual masterbation for computer geeks.

Wow, i never really got into testing eos that deeply, good to know! Why would anyone want EOS over HIVE anyway! Yeah EOS was a cashgrab! I sold all mine up at 20 bucks years ago! 🤙

Going off the distribution of rewards in this ecossytem, and penalization of people who are not 'in the in crowd' - I wouldn't be so sure that there's not a similar strategy at play here...

Yeah that sucks, hope they stop. You are a great author, everything well written, interesting topics, I agree they are uncouth! Thanks 🙏

Thanks, matey, I appreciate the support.

holy shit, nicely done on timing that sell! 😎
