Why don't so many people understand the nature of Bitcoin?

Whenever I think of Bitcoin, I understand that it is an innovative system for doing what money already does, but in a better way. Now most people don't understand this great truth and from what I see they are vert far to do it.

What's wrong with Bitcoin?

From my point of view, nothing at all; but we can ask the question in another way: What is making noise regarding Bitcoin? I mean, why, even now, do so many people not understand the nature of Bitcoin?

For most people, it is not about just one thing, but a set of factors that imply the mere existence of Bitcoin. How could they understand some kind of asset that works like money, but is not created by a Central Bank? How could they understand a kind of asset that is a technology and a decentralized ledger itself?

And most importantly: how could they understand a kind of asset that has no physical representation? Because, when most people think of money, they think of fiat money, so they want to see the physical piece of paper that is their money. But with Bitcoin, we don't have any physical representation; just a concept, a mere record on a decentralized ledger that is the proof that one amount of BTC goes in and another amount of BTC goes out of some specific place or address.

The complexity of the system plays against Bitcoin and its adoption

Everything I just said is key when we want to understand why it is so difficult to get BTC mass adoption. Although it is true that Bitcoin (and the entire crypto environment) is more accepted today than ever; It is also true that there is still a long way to go in this regard.

Today, Bitcoin has both fans and enemies, but it is a fact that the fans will grow in the future, because when you understand what Bitcoin is, on a deep level, you can't help but take off your hat and embrace it.

Anyway, I think the biggest resistance about it will always comes from governments part; and this is so, because there is so much interest in protecting fiat money and the current state of things that they really freak out when they understand that BTC is the type of asset they will never control, no matter how hard they try.

But the way I see it, nothing can stop the advance of Bitcoin, so you can love it or hate it, but Bitcoin will stay with us forever.

So, we'll see each other when we see each other!
