The mainnet launch of Layer One X, on or about January 31st, has the potential to redefine the benchmark against which other blockchains are measured. The reality now live is already remarkable. The future potential is mind boggling.
Think of Google, the Web2 titan. Is it just ridiculous hyperbole to even suggest the possibility of Layer One X being considered in the same category in Web3 someday? I will answer with simply saying a post to even begin to cover the scope of the vision of what Layer One X aspires to become would be far too long.
I will present you my version of a ... "highlight reel" ... instead and introduce you to this extraordinary new technology.
The Back Story ...

There's intelligent. There's brilliant. Then ... There's Kevin Coutinho. What word would be used to describe his ability to first read every line of code behind 8 different blockchains, including Ethereum (what would a fellow wunderkind / prodigy like Vitalik Buterin say about this?), and then write the code to make direct communication between smart contracts on any of them possible?
A feat never before achieved (until 3 Mar 2023)! Rendering bridges, the single greatest point of failure resulting in the largest loss of funds (estimates vary, but it is in the billions), obsolete!!
Pause and think about that. For just a minute ... Or two ...

As remarkable as the programming prowess of Kevin is, he cannot build his vision of what is possible by himself.

Early on, his efforts attracted the attention Matiu Randolph, a fellow Australian, who is now the Chief Operating Officer of Layer One X. He, in turn, was very effective at drawing the attention of many in his own network, to check out the potential of what Kevin was building.
Which included @abrockman, one of our fellow Hivians, who has been very successful in Splinterlands, as well as many other ventures outside of our Hive blockchain (for instance, EMP Money on the BNB Chain and SparkSwap on Pulsechain).
Who, in turn, I "met" due to @raymondspeaks answering a time-sensitive question of mine, in the Dragon Lounge channel of his Man Cave Project on Discord. Due to my unrelenting time restrictions, Ray had about (literally) a 15-minute window to answer, otherwise it is very unlikely I would be writing this post ...

Well, okay, you are obviously not experiencing this as a video, so ... How about a "highlight reel" of bullet points in a post here on our Hive blockchain?
First, what exactly will be possible on Day 1 of the MainNet launch?

The aspiration is to build a DEX never before seen, which will rival the power of a CEX. Binance, for example. Yes, I know there are no shares in Binance ... Or Coinbase (oh ... wait ... Yes, there are!) ... Or KuCoin ... But, if there was, as I did above with RUNE, I would sell them, in anticipation of the launch of Layer One X!
Once launched, in the very near future, Balancer-style liquidity pools (LPs) have been promised. For "blue chip assets" (think of the base token of 8 different blockchains, starting with ETH ...) paying out APRs to "die for", if you are a "degen brained" DeFi uhhh ... "connoisseur."
Oh, yes, and did I mention the "Dex Aggregator" functionality which will be built in? Just imagine 80% of the overall TVL in crypto tradable in one place. - Digital IDs for Web3: This form of communication seems grossly inadequate, to me, to even begin to cover this topic. For now, know that Layer One X has currently partnered with:
1. Omchain to onboard 15 million blockchain users, "to make use of Governmental, Educational, Banking and other services in Turkey." These 15 million Turkish citizens are largely in and around Instanbul, an ancient city!
2. The city of Singapore to begin establishing healthcare services based on blockchain technology.

Competition for Hive? - Yeah ... Right ... How on earth are they going to pull all of this off? Well, how about mastering Copilot, the "latest, great" AI-engine creation of Microsoft? And embedding it in the developers UI?
If anyone can do it, Kevin certainly has both the skillset and "this is my life" mindset to pull it off.
Note: How does "the market" view Microsoft these days? Largely on the back of the creation of "state of the art" AI engines, like Copilot? How about becoming the most valuable company on planet Earth! - YouTube account. Listening to the weekly AMAs (every Wednesday @ 1AM UTC) are very informative. For example, in this one (click on the "MainNet Updates" bookmark), you will hear Kevin himself talk at length about what is coming, in the New Year.
- Revolutionary app. The "gateway" for every use of L1X, which even "Grandma" could handle. Yes, dear reader, that is part of the UX vision of Layer One X's CXO (Chief Experience Officer), Kody King.
- Server on Discord. The "go to" center of activity, for just about anything and everything Layer One X.
- Extensive blog content. A wealth of concisely written information.
- And ... Last, but not least ... Website!
I will leave it at the above listing, for the time being. In the future, I may provide an update on how this all unfolds - focusing on one specific feature at a time.
Whatever happens, it is "right around the corner!"

The launch of blockchains and all that goes with them is not new. Since deciding to invest in crypto, beginning in August 2017, I have experienced a number of them. I have never experienced anything like this one.
My introduction to all Layer One X has the vision and aspiration to become led to my making my single biggest investment so far. We are soon to experience whether or not the reality matches or, ideally, exceeds the promise!
