Banksy and NFTs Further Diversifying Art Expression

in LeoFinance4 years ago

Banksy is one of the world's most famous street artists that nobody knows. Bansky is a street art artist based in London, United Kingdom. His graffiti artworks are typically urban or cultural in style, depicting social situations such as crime, politics, religion, drugs, prostitution, etc.

In his graffiti art, Bansky draws from different sources including everyday objects like bottles, coins, and cans, but he also applies certain stylistic aspects from other media including digital art movement, film, and television. Bansky is well known for his controversial street-art style and has been called "street art vandal" or "vandalism artist".

Bansky clarifies that his street art is not about portraying crime, nudity, or vulgarity, but rather a reflection of his desire to bring awareness to neglected issues and social problems in society.

Yesterday, one of Banksy art work, was the first ever burning of an authentic certified Banksy piece that will be digitalized in the form of a NFT.

The reason the burning itself is so important is because as long as the physical piece exists, the value of that piece will remain with the physical. However, if we entirely re-create the physical piece and input specifications such as the art version number into the smart contract code, no one can ever alter the the digital art in any way. In this way the physical piece will forever be memorialized in this NFT
