In general, alts tend to follow the movement of BTC (at least for the known & decent projects).

What do you think is really responsible for such a huge dip of Hive to an ATL
My info may not be updated. But, almost 10 years ago, we had BTC and much fewer other coins.
All other coins were used to be called ALT coins.
Recently, ETH is called ETH. But, it still follow BTC movement (most of the time).
