RE: SHELL Leaving South Africa Ending 120 Years Of Business

in LeoFinance7 months ago

shocking news and by reading this article, I am worried about my country, I am not an economic student and didnt understand the deepness of the cause however, the main concern is jobs and investments which will be a mess

Sort:

This is the biggest problem because without investment there are no jobs. SA is losing an average of 1 listing on their Stock Exchange every 17 days which is crazy because that is money leaving the country along with the jobs. Governments are supposed to attract investments and create employment for the population not chase them away.

so much happening in this world and we are not aware of it, thanks for clearing my views. I used to think of South Africa a very rich country but if no opportunities for employment then it is going on worst side and I think majority of the countries are facing the same right now. Thanks for sharing the info

Corruption has killed the economy. There is an official 32% unemployment and unofficial 45-50% unemployment with open borders not protecting the local work force. Throw in power cuts that have been lasting nearly 20 years and last year was the worst on record and could easily be fixed, but corruption is again the cause here. People need to vote this government out in 3 weeks time, but again this can be manipulated by those clinging on to power.

I feel that this corruption is ruining the whole world and not anyone of us is able to fix it, the truth is most of us have made our minds to live with it and many have became the part of it to live in this cruel world.
