Cool contest, 20K LEO is a decent prize pool that should poke plenty of designers on the chain! However, I think that EU/US UI/UX designers might have a hard time determining how much time they'd like to invest (20K Leo translates into 10-15 hours of -guaranteed- work) by competing in a contest.
I also believe that expectations are an important aspect of desired designs versus the reward/prize pool that will be given out. I'm missing a bit of that in the description of the contest. This 100% will improve the level of entry.
For example; the current trend is BOLD and NEON for web design. However, we can start seeing a transition from SOLID NEON to SOLID LIGHT-NEON color palettes, regarding color design (for example; the requested Night mode designs become 'old' and users crave balance). Whereas BOLD typography remains the same; our target audience is young, and they like to be heard and seen -> bold is where we identify ourselves, this still is very much the case, but here again; we see a small move transition into light+bold typography.
What are your views, requests, and expectations on this regarding the Contest? I'd love to participate, but I would like to have some sort of guideline to work with.
- What pages do well, are there metrics?
- What current challenges are known so far?
- What are the goals? Faster load-speed?
- Which is more prioritized? Mobile or Web UI/UX design
- What brands can LeoFinance relate to, design-wise
- Are there "dream" designs in mind, versus "expected" designs that go in line with the reward/prize pool?
If I was hired for a re-design, these are just a few questions I'd ask before starting designing (creating a visual concept first, and throughout that, you'd build a high-quality design that will be guided within the expectations, with more potential to exceed that expectation)
Sorry for the long reply. Awesome contest, I hope many will participate!
Cheers!
