Sorry to ask: How is the halving of the entire Hive database related to scaling?
Where else are you going to find a stablecoin that has the USD as a unit of account which settles completely in just over 3 seconds?

It allows the database to be run on smaller servers.
By reducing it from 700 GB to 350 GB, there is a lot less data, in terms of size, to house. This allows for another doubling of what is in the database before we get to the point we are at today.
