Maybe we should make assumptions regarding if the user is autovoting or not. 🤔
For example, if the user votes at (approximately) the same time as other users for a single post or comment, then they are most likely part of a curation trail. If the user votes a post exactly after 5 (or so) minutes, then they are most likely part of a fanbase. 🤔🤔
You may be onto something there. I'm sure there are always to recognize those patterns and achieve just what you mentioned.
I wouldn't know where to even start, but I think it's possible lol

Even that said, I know it's difficult to determine between automatic votes and manual votes. 😅
I think it is hard as there are various different types of auto voters. Some wait till later and check the value of a certain comment/post before voting and etc. So it is tough to figure out whether or not they are truly active or not.

Maybe there should just be a category where voters (either automatic or manual) are excluded. 🤔
The problem is that there isn't really a way to find out without asking the auto-voting applications who is using it.

The autovoting Hive dapps must also obtain the permission of their users before sharing their autovoting preferences. 🤔
Yes but once they get permission, the vote on the blockchain looks the same as any other vote.

A Hive autovoting dapp (such as Hive.vote) will be able to determine which votes came from them, and which did not (either from other autovoting apps or manually from the user themselves). 🤔
That was the point. We require the voting app to tell us which ones otherwise we can't tell which ones are auto-voting and which aren't. It might be possible to find out based on analyzing the data but I honestly don't think the analysis is worth it.
