Hello everyone in the Splinterverse, hope you all are enjoying the battles in Splinterland. It's time for another weekly battle challenge and I am so happy to see the challenge about a neutral monster this week, since I can just simply rent one and try to use the monster in my daily focus battle. In the followings, I would like to show some special strategies on my combnation. Let's move on and don't forget to have fun reviewing the battle and enjoy the new giveaway!!
About XENITH ARCHER
The Xenith Scale is devoted to enlightenment, knowledge, and the protection of others. Members among the order practice to remain balanced in all things and believe Mana, too, should remain balanced. It should not be used to cause chaos or disorder, nor should it be used to tip the scales of justice in either direction. The order believes in fate and that everything has its proper place. Fate and destiny are predetermined, and they should not be altered.
This is a very good low cost ranger for you battle if you encounter a low mana battle. My suggest level for it is level 6 or above since you can get 1 extra attack via upgrading your card and utilize the stats while not costing too much in your battle.
The Battle Rules
23 Mana Cost
HOLY PROTECTION: All Monsters have the Divine Shield ability.
CLOSE RANGE: Ranged attacks may be used in the first position in battles.
My Team
It is a mid level mana battle for all elements and today my focus is exactly the dragon elements. So that I rent some dragons and some low cost water monsters. And this is exactly the battle what I am looking for. Kinda low cost mana battle with both dragon and water elements. So that I went for some inspire buff to utilize the capacity of pirate captain.

The Lineup
Summoner
The DARIA DRAGONSCALE is a pretty useful dragon summoner that increase 1 attack for all your melee monsters. In most case, the melee monster of water is powerful and therefore, my DARIA is also a best fit for my team under the low mana situation.
Front Row
The DIEMONSHARK is a good front tank since we have the enrage and trample ability to boost the stats and start a killing spring. The biggest advantage of DIEMONSHARK is that once it get's into the enrage status, it becomes a beast with high speed that make it powerful and a dodge master.
Second
The SABRE SHARK is also a water assassin that share the same use with Bandit. Having such great stats in attack and health with sneaky ability is definitely a good choice for me to maximize my damage. My suggest level is level 10 since 4 melee attack with 6 speed is pretty decent considering only 3 mana cost.
Third
The CRUSTACEAN KING is a good supportive beta card in your collection. Once it gets to level 6, it becomes pretty useful since your little monster start having the shield ability that buff your whole team while having the healing ability for you front tank. Grab one if you still haven't put it into your collection of bag.
Fourth
The PIRATE CAPTAIN serves a purpose of buff my team with the inspire ability, mainly for my front tank DESERT DRAGON. Keep in mind that all my cards are aimed to help my DESERT DRAGON to trigger the infinity trample once it starts killing enemies. The best CP ratio for your PIRATE CAPTAIN is definitely level 6 for it since you get the inspire buff for 3 mana cost.
Fifth
The XENITH ARCHER is a very good low cost ranger for you battle if you encounter a low mana battle. My suggest level for it is level 6 or above since you can get 1 extra attack via upgrading your card and utilize the stats while not costing too much in your battle.
Last
The TORRENT FIEND acts like a shield for my team to protect my NAGA ASSASSIN in case there are any sneak monster to attack my back. As a result, the 0 mana cost card is always a best option if you have a slot in your team but with no more mana.
Battle Result
This one was easy peasy since I just build up a good team combination in the battle. Under the Divine Shield rule set, having another extra shield is always a good choice for your team as every monster that can bear 2 more extra hits before it dies theoretically. Therefore, my CRUSTACEAN KING and PIRATE CAPTAIN just did a great job to buff my whole team. And don't forget the contribution of my low mana DPS monsters SABRE SHARK and XENITH ARCHER. They just did great deal of damage during the battle.
Recap of reward card statistics
The collection speed of new version reward card is faster than what I expected since we just did approximately 7% of total bcx, which is almost 1/10 of old version of reward cards. Anyways, keep rockin and collect those sweet and powerful cards. Although the price suffers now, I do believe that you will regret not getting enough copies in the future once all cards are minted out.
