The low attention span is definitely a problem.
YouTube noticed it and are now using YouTube shorts to thrive.
Young actual YouTube videos only get views from people actually looking for something from them, people with a purpose.
I don't think the attention span would increase, we would just keep on evolving media, advertisement and marketing to keep up with the shortening attention span.

True, mostly podcasts or documentaries by few remaining good creators on YT are always worth it... something we get to learn.
Yea, this will continue to evolve and that attention span will only shorten.
