can someone tell me why we just accept the red Hive logo when this is a decentralized community and we can use whatever we want to represent Hive?

it's not like it's written in rock or something, we can do whatever we want!

Let's experiment!

#hive

pretty awesome stuff 👍

how did you design it btw? I’m trying to learn how to mess with colors like that

I use this app called PIXLR and they have weird and cool.effects like that this is a blend of the GAMMA effect with a few of them.

You can mess around with combinations of filters and try new options in that app, it's really cool!

No....you are one person i know who messes with colors a lot 😄....how do you wish to do this again

yes! Yes! I just want to see more projects and people promoting hive to use these kinds of designs. Yours is fantastic !

Probably same reason why bitcoin logo stayed the same. For consistency and brand recognition.

fair enough but what if the brand doesn’t work?🤷‍♂️ Do people recognize us?

Probly not the logo's fault if we're not recognized. Also, it's not so simple to change logos. Deutsche Bank, for example hired 8 notable graphic artists to come up with their present logo.

that sounds like 7 too many. Big companies tend to throw money at problems they don’t understand.

It would be hard for us thought because we are decentralized so there is no one making the final decision and not even a mechanism to decide something like this

Does this mean the HBD logo can change from green?

As long as people recognize the shape of the logo, it may not matter what color it has.

Also, some dApps in the Hive ecosystem use different colors for the logo (especially Ecency).

im not sure we will be able to see a change in the branding everywhere. It’d need a consensus from most of the influential people here and I don’t think many of them have much of an artistic sense or an understanding of colors or fonts.

But that won’t stop me from using blue on black!
