I use self massage for anything other than emergencies. A tennis ball pushed into your back or butt, against a hard wall or the floor could work wonders, depending on where the problem actually is.

A general rule of thumb for me is to massage the whole body to find where there is the must tightness, often there are issues you didn't even realize, not serious, just tightness that builds up over time due to habits and put pressure on the spine. (not professional advice)

Ah yeah, I did a little walk out and jugging with a few back stretch and I feel somewhat relieved. I will try your recommendation tomorrow morning if the pain returns.
