I am here for it. The more activity the better. We all love how much "The internet" loves engagement. Because what. The more engagement the more money is generated. And that's all everyone's think about :D

Sort:

If we look at the Internet as a growing, organic system, data is what feeds it. The more we put on here, the more the "copy machine" takes over.

That is 100% sure right. But for example. Someone that never heard of decentralised platforms, or crypto! They google: "make money with social media" or something in those lines. Imagine, they come across INLEO, they sign up and can't even post because they don't have credits!!! Do you think they will stay and research or leave thinking the "site doesn't work properly"?

we need ranking on major make money and social media keywords. proper seo planning is needed.

Or just keep bringing good content that we can start making go viral in here. And then the SEO will catch it. We could start there! :D

That is a problem and there was talk of building an automatic delegator.

But I dont think most will come here and worry about posting based upon what you stated. We have talked about that for years.

Hive is a complex system that takes time to learn. It sucks for growth but does have a certain exclusiveness to it. There is value in that also. Over time it will improve, especially with light accounts.

But it beats having transaction fees.

Yeah I know that for years the conversations on the theme have been going around and there were some tries to make it easier.

But we can't also keep thinking about mass adoption until we solve that problem.

And if we want to achieve a different audience, that needs to be solved sooner than later. Otherwise we will only keep getting a hand full of people joining in and staying. Those that are already into crypto and decentralised platforms.

But I am guess that many that are looking for alternatives to mainstream platforms, they are not looking for those reasons. Since they don't have the knowledge. They might be looking for another place with a chance to grow an audience and make an income out of it. Since many of the other programs in mainstream platforms, with all the algorithms, are destroying visibility for everyone.

I think the idea of mass adoption is foolish. It is the wrong starting point.

The focus should be on the 1,000 owners who are here and truly take account for what is going on. With Leo, it is probably 300. That is where we start the process.

Alas, after 6 or 7 years, it is still "we need to market Hive to get more people on here". People from Hive post 10000 tweets and comments per day yet most put nothing on chain.

Pure foolishness.

I have tried to tag that HIVE flag out of the platform to the mainstream. Sharing my content and other content there. Never very successfully. Since the content I was creating was not at all related with HIVE or decentralised platforms. So the content was reaching an audience that was not at all interested in consuming my type of content on another platform tha they didn't even understand!

We seem to think others know, or even care, about this. They do not. Their interest is zero. That is why scouring X looking for users fails. People are not going to come over in droves from X to use threads. Even if they do, it will only to scrape rewards which they sell.
