RE: Larimer + Vitalik: Learning the Hard Lesson the Easy Way

in LeoFinance2 years ago

I find this whole premise of the article stimulating because I love reading about the evolution of DPOS, and it's known strengths and weaknesses. It is also amazing how Larimer seemingly loses control over his projects and this is viewed as a bad thing. I think it's a design feature, not a flaw.

Incidentally, I think this article is worthy of your mind and the 7 minute listen.
It is possible to listen to it at the website.

Title: Crypto’s Future Is at Stake in a Dispute Over Commercial Law’s Definition of Money

https://www.barrons.com/articles/crypto-commercial-laws-definition-of-money-5fbd8fe4

In one section they redefine cryptocurrency, not as money but as controllable electronic records.

It is true that the proposed amendments do not classify cryptocurrencies as “money” within the UCC definition. However, this is an intentional choice, as the drafters decided to create a new, purposefully-designed category for them, known as “controllable electronic records.”

I think you find the entire article interesting.
