RE: MakerDAO. NewChain.

English translation:

Vitalik Buterin liquidated his remaining stake in MakerDAO over the weekend, drawing 500 MKR tokens for 353 ethers (about $580,000).

This is surprising, but I guess VB is human.

The action followed the proposal of MakerDAO co-founder and CEO Rune Christensen on Friday, hinting at a possible move from Ethereum to a Solana-derived blockchain called NewChain.

Perhaps VB felt angry, decided to cut his ties to the DAO.

Christensen's preference for Solana is due to his technical quality, resilience after the collapse of FTX and successful forks, such as the Pyth Network, he said.

I was surprised to hear this, but on further exploration I find articles stating the backend of Solana gives MakerDao more power to fork and recover from a hack.

It’s interesting news, interesting technology and the usual human drama.

See you in my next post ;D
