It's strange to live in a time where the government is so easily apparent as both an enemy and a threatening tidal waves of imbecility that threatens the livelihood and happiness of many. Perhaps there was an instance in the past when it was entirely useful and did not start to bloat and corrupt itself but thankfully crypto is gaining power and gives a lot of people an escape route that did not exist beforehand to people who weren't wealthy elite.
