Afternoon everyone…..
Last week CNBC was doing a piece on inflation. Of course the main topic of conversation was the gas prices.
Gas prices are more then double what they were at this time last year. I’m so glad that everyone had received double their salary to compensate…..NOT
But they also did a piece on the growing prices of everyday food items.
Since the Fourth of July was coming up, they put a chart up that concentrated on barbecue items specifically.
The average across the United States for these items was an increase of over 10% versus same time period last year. They did say that more densely populated areas had high percentage increases.
So here is the chart they shared:
I don’t know about you but it doesn’t seem like many people are having barbecues this year.
The stores by me have very empty parking lots. While I know this is a big vacation week, there are usually parties going on all around me. I haven’t heard any music blaring yet this summer.
FYI…. Silver is almost getting to the buy now numbers…

Inflation tend to produce more negative than positive
They been robbing us for ages now but they really ramped it up in the past few decades
