Obverse: A young, beautiful, and radiant maiden reclining and nude, holding birds in both hands and flowers in the background.

Reverse: High-Relief Intaglio Mint logo set on radial burst surrounded by stippled border reading “TWO TROY OUNCES” above and “.999 FINE SILVER” below on textured background, flanked by mintage year in roman numerals “MMXXII”.

Edoardo Gioja was born in Rome, Italy in 1862. He is known for portrait, figure, and landscape painting, drawing and sketching. He died in 1937 in London, England, although he lived in Italy. In 1901 he completed the “The Four Seasons”.
