I may have mentioned this before, but several years ago I came across something called Block Nation (maybe Bit Nation), which endeavored to build exactly what you're talking about, but I haven't kept up with it, and don't know how it has fared, but still agree it's a great idea.
How would you imagine something like this would start? Would we use the DHF to build revenue generating businesses, and then build the community around them, or do you think a pilgrimage, wherein a handful of Hivians set out to break ground, and others trickle in is more viable? How would we incentivize people to move to this place? Would we like to have a single location to build out from, or would we approach it from a decentralized angle and set up shop in several locations scattered across the globe? I feel like I have a lot more questions, but this is a decent start to get some dialog going on the topic.
Also, this is completely unrelated, but I wanted to show off my Guild Coaliton's new "Empathy" token. There are 7 guilds, now, who get these dropped on them, periodically, just for being a member of our coalition, and, even though it's just another tip/vanity token, it's already getting some buzz in the Splinterlands community.
