The final check in. Buzz or burned?

in LeoFinance10 months ago

Good afternoon burners, it's our final check-in for our Leo Buzz premium month. Is Premium worth the cost? Will it increase our interactions and rewards? Will we earn enough to cover next month's premium subscription? There's no point slothin, let's dive in and see what happened!

Over the last month, we had 2 out of 4 posts curated by the Leo team/curators. This led us to have a couple of posts with over $5 total rewards which we set at 50% HP/50% HBD. Plus half of all earnings go to Curators, and we had to set a 5% benefactor to the Leo account.

Here's our list of previous posts in this series. First Post, Second Post, Third Post, Forth post.
Let's see how this has affected our earnings this month.

Starting Wallet:Current Wallet

In total, we've made 24 LEO tokens throughout this Premium experience. Combine this with the HBD we've earned, and we can see we've earned far less than the $10 required to renew the premium account.

If we're honest, we didn't think our earnings would match the required amount for premium, but we were hoping this experience would gain us some more interactions and followers. Again, unfortunately, this metric is very poor. In total, we earned 3 more followers in the previous month.

All in all our time with Premium has been a little underwhelming. Although there are some good features, the ability to publish longer threads for example. Overall, the premium features lack the oomph to keep subscribers coming back time and again. It's a nice start from the LEO team, but it seems more is needed to make it successful.

Overall, we were disappointed with our month of premium, that's not to say you will have the same experience. If you are producing high-quality content daily or weekly, you would have a much better chance of being curated. Our main focus is burning tokens and creating burn posts which don't create any earnings.

We also slothed on the thread side of things, so missed out on more opportunities to connect and build our audience. There are some features we didn't use, themes, NFT PFPs or the Auto-Ai summaries. Possibly they would have increased our enjoyment of Premium. Of course, like most things, those putting in the effort gain more rewards. We hope our sloth experience allows users to decide if they think Prmium would be of value to them.

The premium subscription cost also gets added to the LEO liquidity pool, helping the LEO token continue to grow overall. So there is an upside to Premium for LEO users. We'll certainly keep an eye on the developments through InLeo in the coming weeks and months. The team continues to push to make the platform the hub for Hive that we need. However, as of yet, it's still missing the mark for me.
