Some think its nonsense, some think its a revolution. The truth is always somewhere in between. At the very least it does redefine the way creators can distribute content to supporters eliminating the need for parasitic middlemen... cough cough spotify cough cough shopify cough cough gumroad etc.
These services do provide value but appeal to mass markets. NFTs are the perfect way to utilize Long Tail economics. All it takes is ONE person that likes your art/music and is willing to collect/invest in your creativity.
I started on @nftshowroom and its a great platform that has a ton of potential but the big opportunities are currently on the ETH ecosystem of nft platforms.
I jumped in last December and right away I knew I had to do something big and different. Luckily many things fell into place at the right time. I was challenged by @rootdraws to create 100 of something in January. Opensea released the ability to create collections and mint for free within the collection. I had a new process that created these really cool looking mountain artworks and had been experimenting with AR layers for them.

THEY ALL SOLD. My signed prints are in 6 countries, 100 AR layers built, and now im getting test books for the 100 Mountains artbook.

This has given me a huge opportunity to help my family and finally not have economic stress always burning the back of my head. I paid off my moms debt and my brothers car and I finally have some sense of financial security and I have an opportunity to live up to some of my collectors ideas on my artistic value.
Ive met a ton a really smart and radical thinkers and just god damn its been a wild ride.
I'm going to start using leo to document my projects and journey and most likely my coming meltdown lol. Hope you enjoy :)

Wow that sound like a journey! Very cool that you sold that much on opensea, I will however not mint on ETH until they solve the PoW to PoS transition. The environmental impact of your 100 mountains is 33400 hours of burning jet fuel. I am happy for you that your financials got resolved, try the remark app on the Kusama network its new and there will be huge buying power and I like that coin :) . Also Cardano has something in the making.
