Now, I title this in a snobbish manner, but I'd preface it first by saying, I've lived in poverty for most of my life. It was only recently that I was pulled from that depth. I used to live in cock roach infested locations, where mice ran around and bred in the walls. I know what it's like to wonder whether or not you will eat, or lack power. I'm also disabled with no income, so I especially don't have money to be investing myself. I've never had a bank account, exposure to the nasdaq, the ability to put money into a product i liked or trusted, and it's sad, because I've sat on top of the most profitable business models in history starting from about 12 years old, and I've WATCHED things grow in value over time... but never, ever did anyone around me think to put a dollar a week into any of that just to take advantage of it. Think for a second, what your life would be like RIGHT NOW if all you ever did, was put a dollar into bitcoin, once a week, since about 2012.. 2014 even, ten years, a decade. If you did that every week from 2014, you'd have been made a VERY RICH person. Even if you had been able to do that this year, you'd have been able to make small amounts of money, can still make small amounts of money. I've had so much generational wealth simply slip through my fingers because "I don't have the money" was an excuse i've heard multiple times, or seen, multiple times. I've seen it when i used google, while others used ask jeeves, or had a gmail when it required a personal invite. I've seen it, from using YouTube, since the year it came out, and seeing "Online shopping" boom. I've seen it when I had a myspace, before 1 million users, and a facebook, before 1 milllion users. I had a skype when people barely knew what it was. I used discord before it has 7k users, i think. It's sad, having no power in this world, to purchase, literally almost anything, because the people around you have told you "I don't have the money." The real sad truth though is.... poor people just... don't know how to spend their money... and it's sad. 1 dollar a week. And you know, once you're making money this way, you can pull your 1 dollar a week FROM your money made, and put it into other GREAT places, multiple 1 dollars per week even, some times. oooo buddy 1 dollar into google a week back in 1999, leading into gmail and youtube later, from your money made on google... proliferating into other things. Could you imagine?? I can only imagine, if my parents had just been doing that.
My final closing thoughts are, the world's energy economy is shifting over the next decade. It might be time to look into Thorium Molten Salt Reactors, and geothermal power solutions. Maybe even space solar energy. I wish we would all just look to the future of things, instead of worrying about the present state. I guess humans are short sighted that way...
Thanks for reading. Sorry if this opinion bothers you, I know it's sort of ignorant in a way, but I do have autism, so, if you think you could reasonably contribute to my understanding of the situation for other people, that'd be great... but i sure know that if my dad didn't buy a paper every day, and instead bought a stock, once a week.... He'd probably be sitting pretty high on a throne of money he made right about now.

That wasn't a bad read. Welcome to Hive. Plenty of room here for whatever you can think of.
If you're open to suggestion, consider using at least a cover image when you post. Attracting attention can be tough as a new account, doing so without images won't make it easier.
Cheers.
It's not working! I wanna see the video! Lol!

Not knowing how to spend is one of the reasons many of them stay poor. The worst part in my experience is that they tend to be hostile against the advice that can help them do better in life.
And then when you're attempting to tell them "Oh hey, if you just try and invest in _____" or spend their money a certain way, they get defensive, and tell you they have nothing lol. It's true, you don't have a lot, but a little goes a long way.
