I keep 4 coins on my table
Wanted to show them off first before opening the safe
The last coin on my desk is this 2022 Canadian maple leaf
In a few years it will be known as “the one with the Queen on it”
Maybe one day the “ones with the queen on it” will be worth more.
I wonder how many people I will see on this coin in my lifetime
Think about it
Forever it was the queen
From when she was young until the more recent design which has probably been around forever
So for a lot of people they saw her on their coins their whole lives
Now its King Charles
But he doesn’t look so good lol
So who will it be after? Will it be that person for the rest of our lives?
It is interesting to think about, at least for me right now haha

There seems to be hereditary longevity in the British royal family. I don't think we'll see many of these monarchs on coins.

I always liked the pictures of the queen when she was young, Charles never had that opportunity! Charles may not be around as long so it's possible his will be worth more down the line. He's up there in years, he may not be around much longer! He just had a very long lived mother! lol
