I'm at the point where I'm inclined to vote against any increases in spending on the state or federal level if I think there's significant waste elsewhere in the government's budget. Budget reallocation seems to be secondary to spending more money.

I vote against new spending and new taxes whenever possible. The problem is, short of not voting, it's not possible most of the time. Almost every politician (with a very few exceptions) seems happy to spend more money.
