The ongoing Maha Kumbh fair at prayagraj, is not only allowing devotees to take bath in the holy rivers, but it has also has opened earning source for many individuals. It is interesting how people found some easy way to make money without or with little investment. The Maha Kumbh Mela is a Hindu festival that involves millions of people gathering to bathe at the confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers. The place is popularly known as Triveni Sangam. The festival is running for more than a month now, making few millionaire in process. No skill required, the smart peoole made usenof their ideas to make money. There are numerous cases that came into light, the best are alwsys mind blowing.
Tea selling.
There are more tea lovers in India than at any other place. Finding people approaching prayagraj, many young lads started selling Tea. Theses boys carry on their shoulder and offer the beverages to the devotees. At Rs.10 per cup, even if the person sells 100 cup of tea in a day, that makes Rs.1000 per day. Taking out the costing to prepare Tea, the profits coming out is huge and for more than 30 days, the person makes lot of money.
Datun (Neem)
Dating is quite popular in Hindu pilgrimages. The wooden twicks is used brush the teeth. People on worship or pligrikiage often make use of it, as it considered pious. I saw a reel in social media, a young boy earned more than Rs.30000 in his 5 days of stay at the Kumbh. The figure is not ordinary for a common middle class Indian. Also there is no investment to made in making "Datun" as these were tweeks from the trees.
Motorcycle ride
Managingbthe huge crowd at Maha Kumbh the administration has stopped the vehicle from entering near the river area. They had made parking spaces at far away places from the river. This allow thr local youth, to offer motorcycle rides services ro the commuters. Many lerson unablebto walk on foot or cover abdistance of 10 km, is happy to pay Rs.200 for a ride near the river. The bikers are quick to grsp the oppurtunity. They are well aware of the city routes and nominal charges they are providing the servies to the commuters. Even if the bikers makes 5 round rides on an daily average tbeir earning coes out to be Rs.2000 per day. Over the duration of the fair, that amount going to climb more.
There are many other business opportunities that people made use of the ocassion to earn money. From offering sandal tilak on forehead, to offering flowers and coconut to beaded necklace. It is rightly been said, India is not for beginners. The huge gathering allowed people to make lot money duringbthe period of 45 days. Some people earns much more than whatbthey could have earned during the year.
Fantastic to see, young people know how to make money through these public ocassion.
