I thought his speech was poor. Kennedy had a much more coherent plan. I think his speech was much more in line with Bitcioners ethos and more believable. Of course he doesn't have a real chance, but since his speech preceeded Trump's all Trump had to do was steal it and he would have done way better.

I don't trust Trump to do 1/2 of what he says. He doesn't really get it...yet.

Sort:

it doesn’t matter if Trump doesn’t. Vivek, Tim Scott and many others do.
But if you think supporting RFK and given Harris any chance of getting in is helpful.
Well that is not how the world works. Trump is the best bet for the industry in the US to get things passed into regulation.

Ha! Don't get me wrong I am under no illusions about politics and politicians period. I do not think supporting RFK will do or not do much of anything. Just like you say it won't matter if Trump doesn't. They don't run the show.

We the people run the show, except we have abrogated our duties and fallen into the trap of feeling we have one of two choices

Trump may be the best bet, and if so that is a sad state of affairs indeed. We need as a people to focus on remaking our system from the ground up.

Bitcoin Magazine would have accomplished much more by giving that 1 Bitcoin to a poor hustling developer than to DJT. In my mind, Bitcoiners and crypto bros have lost the plot. We are giving the family jewels right over to the same guys that took all of our money and ruined it the first time.

Sorry. Didn't mean to rant. Just frustated that I am always right and everybody else is wrong 🤣 🤣

I agree we need to rebuild from the ground up. My issue is if that lets the commies win it will be more difficult.
Change takes time.

When thinking about crypto (not politics) changes indeed do take time, but I feel things are at a critical mass and will speed up exponetially in the next 1-2 years. Because the government changes so slow, I think it will be racing to catch up (as it is right now -- evidenced by all the politicians jumping on board) and many of the changes will be done and dusted by the time they get their boots on.

At least that is my fantasy :-)

yeah. History would not agree with your sentiment. This same cycle has repeated itself over and code. But next of luck.

The nice thing about crypto is that it may not happen in America, but it will happen somewhere and grow from there.

Now all I have to do is figure out if it will happen here, and if not figure out where it will happen and plan accordingly :-) Humans will always succumb to the tyrants, then they will always break free. The wheel keeps on turning :-)
