It seems this was a clever hack and may have been some 'social engineering', but just because one chain gets hacked does not mean others are vulnerable. The crypto-sceptics will still make a big fuss. If they really hacked a 'cold wallet' then it wasn't that cold.
The tracking technology must be very clever now as various people want to see where funds go. It's really hard to be anonymous unless the chain builds it in.
We just have to ride out these events.
