Wages are not keeping up with inflation. The UK government is running down services like health care so they can privatise it. This is down to years of mismanagement.
The strikes only last a few days. Those involved will need to catch up with the backlog anyway.

Thanks for the update - I hope the workers get what they need - society needs to raise the pedastool of those who keeps things going a little bit.
I've not got used to him being king, but then most people won't be that bothered really. It doesn't affect our lives directly. I'm really don't care much about the royals.
