Best way to explain the maths behind Bitcoin

Trying to explain the mathematics behind BTC...?

Nothing I've seen puts it more clearly than this tweet:

If you're trying to explain the benefits of Bitcoin - of which there are many - the 21 million hard cap on the number of Bitcoin that will ever be issued is the most compelling.

Your chance to own a fraction of the world's future wealth (if all goes to plan).

Or you could hang onto your fiat cash - problem is that the denominator on the fiat system grows infinitum as the world's central banks keep on printing more of it. Not so with BTC. It's in the code.
