Never thought we'd see the death of the British £ in our lifetime...

Its phased replacement (CBDC) looks likely to kick in from as early as 2025...

Why isn't this being more widely publicised in the media? 🤔

    Consultation paper launched by the UK Treasury dept. It sets out a new digital pound to be used by households & businesses. Plans to use alongside current in the short-medium term.... 🤔

    Yeah but how are they going to integrate with the existing payment systems; point of sale systems, credits card, and commercial bank networks. Who is going to build the infrastructure let alone run it?
