As you mentioned, I'd recommend anyone to avoid using that version of Steem Keychain and try using the latest version we published (although it might be quite outdated by now) :

You can just clone the project, and in your extensions page, activate developer mode, choose load unpacked and select the folder you've just cloned. That would be safer than trusting an unknown source with your keys (the git repository belongs to yabap).

It was fun in Poland and hopefully we can do it again sometime with Hive.

I wouldn't use that crap, but figured there must be a way. Not sure if it is worth it for 20 dollars, but I wouldn't mind the DEC for some rents! :D

Just be sure you change or have changed your password on Hive since the split so it's different than Steem, then far less can go wrong.

I have heard of many who haven't though - came across one the other day who should know better.

Can confirm it still works as I have it installed to move the little that remains there.
