Oh wow, I love this post, it totally blows my mind. Even though I am not that versed in many aspects of subcultures, such as movie quotes, many of the examples you listed do strike a chord and ring a bell:
Looney Tunes I actually do remember pondering about this as a kid, wondering what the tunes were supposed to be about. Music? Of course! Isn't there also something with Merry Melodies in that cartoon show?
I very specifically remember the Monopoly man with a monocle. In fact, together with the top hat and the tail coat, it is one of the three markings of a capitalist. Every kid knows that.
I never liked Pokemon, but I am certain Pikachu's tail is black tipped.
Kit-Kat had a hyphen, Fruit of the Loom a cornucopia, and Cheez-itz was plural, like 100%.
It was always Mirror, mirror on the wall..., though that may also depend on whatever version it was. Not sure about the famous Disney one.
"We're gonna need a bigger boat." I only know from Johnny Depp's character in Blow.
C3PO's silver leg??? Am I losing my mind??? No, no, no! That can't be! (But I'm not going to check the Star Wars movies now...)
"If you build it they will come." "Life is like a box of chocolates." "Luke, I am your father." Like I said, I am not the greatest movie quoter, these three however I was absolutely certain about.
...of the world! So apparently I have only heard that one version of the song, recorded at Wembley Stadium. Weird...
