Romans 8;10 make us understand that 'love wotketh no I'll to his neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the Lord's.
As a Christian, we heavenly bound -heaven - conscious, and in deed not of the world (Colo 3;2, John 2;15-17) brethren come to think of it Christ call us out of the world but allowed us to remain the world but. The essence is that we might influence and infiltrate the world system with the unique type of love that is Christ_centered.
Who is your neighbor?
If you read Luke 10;25-37 Jesus answered this question.
My own simple way of understanding is someone who lives within the same vicinity or someone who is in the situation, whether whole or part. If you read Luke 10:27-37 you will see more of the answered from Christ.
How do we understand love? If you read Matt 22;37, Jesus explained the whole matter of Christianity as summarized under one principle of love in a two-fold concept; This implies that the totality of our intellects should be dedicated to loving God. Love your neighbor as you love yourself.
I see love as a bedrock of our Christian faith for several reasons
- Of all the gifts and talents: of all endeavors and labours the greatest of them is love- 1cor. 13;13
- The Bible explains God this way' for God is love - 1John4;8
Now what are the kind of love God instructed us to love, 1 Cor 13-1-14
As children of God, there are several biblical call to love injunctions which should guide our relationship with our neighbors
The God kind of love is call the Agape love: Rom5;8
- This love is selfless
- This love seeks and protect the truth
- This love looks out for the good of others
- This love hates injustice and unfair treatment.
In conclusion, love conquer all things, love is a verb, which signify action, God acted it through Christ brethren let Christ act His love through you to everyone around you. Note "EVERYONE" are your neighbors.
