I think it's great to aim for financial independence especially when there's a possibility to achieve it. Money is a fabric of modern society, so we might as well play the game and win at it. The alternative is not looking good for many.

Definitely! For me, I think it's worth it too despite the trade offs. It's an opportunity to wasn't abundantly available in previous generations.
